The Rev. George M. Chaplin

     George is a native Newporter, born 1923, and served in the USAAF during WWII.
     George, after working in business for 25 years in the Newport area, attended The Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1967 and was ordained in 1969.
     He advanced his education at Providence College, Providence, RI, Barrington College, RI, and Salve Regina College, Newport, RI.
     George has worked at the Youth Conference Center, Elderly Housing, and served as the Rector of St. Mark's Church, Warren, RI for 21 yrs.He also served as minister at Holy Cross for 8 years and has a combined ministry service of 37 years.
